Perfect Easy Snack: Apple and Veggie Sausage Sandwich

With all the weekend errands on the agenda, you've got to eat. So why not be healthy while you're doing it?

Serves 2
Preparation Time: About 10 minutes

Ingredients:

4 Slices of Cranberry Nut Bread (or any healthy bread you prefer. Multi-grain and pita are great too.)
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Granny Smith apple
4 Veggie protein patties
2 Slices Muenster cheese or shredded cheddar

In a cast iron pan or other all-natural materials pan, warm the olive oil. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Turn off the heat.

Place the slices of bread in the pan with one 1/2 slice of each of the whole slices of cheese placed on each slice of bread. Allow the bread to get warm enough to slightly melt the cheese.

Plate the bread and top the slices with the patties. Place a few fresh apple slices on top of the patties. Serve as open face or as a traditional sandwich and enjoy!  ...You're welcome!

Fall Landscape Colors for Nails!

I was on a trip to the market to restock on the basics for the home:  kale, almond milk, fresh fruit (yum) and recalled needing to get some things from my local dollar store. Now while, we're all looking forward to the day when we see YSL at the dollar store (smile), I wasn't at all mad at the selection of nail colors available from brands like Wet 'N Wild and L.A. Colors. Plums and merlots for the nails don't have to be super pricey. Get to a great DIY mani-pedi this weekend with more fun, Fall colors. Share your favorites with me on Facebook and Twitter!

Sweater Sophisticate

As we commute home on this chilly Fall, Atlanta evening, we can't help but think about how we so heart sweaters. The right ones give the perfect warm and cozy feeling as you make your way to the bus stop or subway!

Then, just when we thought sweaters couldn't get any more wonderful, we spotted pairings with chic separates that dress them up for the office and after-work event hopping and had to share. One of our new favorite sweater looks? A patterned sweater with a moto jacket and an all-business skirt. What are your ideas for a chic sweater look?

Golden Time of the Day - DIY Shimmering Vases

Need some ideas on what to do on those Autumn days or evenings when it's just a bit too chilly to go out? Why not get crafting and add some new, affordable Fall decor touches to your space?

Visit your local craft store for flasks or bottles for a unique way to display flowers. Also, pick up a metallic crafter's paint to your liking. I like rose gold and copper as shown above. Clean and dry them well. Use a painter's tape or masking tape to protect the area of the vase that will remain clear. Simply paint the exposed part of the glass and allow it to dry. Once the glass has dried, remove the tape to reveal your new vase!
