American Government

This is not a true blog, I'll be honest. I don't dish, etc.

However, I will let you all know: American Government--my GSU Post-Bacc class--is very ugly right now. We're down to the wire (is that a complete/correct metaphor)? I will study tonight. I've emailed the professor about extra credit. Anyhoo--

I went to the National Black Arts Festival's film and stage events. Great!

I will try to give the public more of what it craves but you guys know, I am kinda traditional. By the way, I am on my way to NYC--soon. Yeah! A decent slice...just kidding ATL.

GABWA

That's the Georgia Assoc. of Black Women Lawyers. I met with these ladies recently and I think they're great. Can't wait to join up officially later this month. They're big on community service.

Lawyer In The Making--Update

Closer

I worked with a firm as a focus group member at the very end of 2006. The work was intriguing and exciting and that's pretty much all that I can say because the details of the case are of course, on the hush.

Happy Anniversary to me as I celebrate one year with the Arrington Law Firm as intern.

Jamila and I have yet to make it to D.C. but everything happens in divine order as Jah-Nana says. I can see us now learning all about the school and of course, stopping by Georgetown for herbal tea at Dean and Deluca and shopping at some of the clothing boutiques.

I'm still planning my trip to Tuscany. I missed Fashion Week in Milan. I didn't see my girl Tracy Reese featured in anything that I've browsed yet. I'll keep checking. This destined to be even more well-travelled and fashionable lawyer is off listening to Pharaoh's Daughter, contemplating a much wanted all-natural peanut butter sandwich on wheat.

Oh yeah, I just finished Something Blue by Emily Giffin. I couldn't put it down. Such a nice alternative to logic games. I was delighted to find that she practiced law and lives in the metro ATL area.
