As part of my post undergraduate work in African-American Studies, I took a class this Spring on civil rights. I am conscious of the fact that civil rights championed by Clara Luper, Gil Scott Heron and Geronimo Pratt are privileges that women, children, Latinos, Asians, GBLT, Muslims, Jews, and poor people enjoy.
