It's quite natural for most moms to be in the kitchen preparing meals or snacks for their families. But how often are we bringing the kids into the kitchen with us? We know it can be difficult to bring the children in for weekday dinner preparations when everyone is on a tight schedule. Still, we are challenging everyone to bring the children into the kitchen as often as possible. Cooking with your children can be a great opportunity to work on math and science skills for example. Tasks like measuring out ingredients, gauging temperatures, and looking at solids versus liquids all make for great teachable moments. Start with snacks or easy desserts.
