Harvest Time Begins Now - Enjoy the Season

Spiced Apple Cider Rum

Here’s what you need:
  • 10-20 apples or apple juice/cider (no sugar added)
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
  • fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1-2 cups of rum
Here’s what you do:
  • Chop apples
  • Juice apples
  • In large pot, heat juice on low heat
  • Add spices, ginger (a whole piece OR you can also juice it with the apples) and lemon juice
  • Let simmer for about 20 minutes
  • Turn off heat, add rum
  • Serve with cinnamon stick

Herb Cucumber Dip

Here’s what you need:
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 8oz tub of greek yogurt (plain 2% or non-fat)
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped dill
  • salt and pepper to taste
Here’s what you do:
  • Chop everything
  • Mix it all together in a bowel
  • It’s that easy
  • Serve with veggies or toasted whole wheat pita slices
